The September 2019 Placemaking Network roundtable at the Boston Society of Architects/AIA featured Richard Bertman in conversation with Christina Lanzl on their recently released book Richard Bertman: The Sculptures. They explored the creative synergy between architecture and sculpture in the making and meaning of Richard’s kinetic objects, wire sculptures and other works. With his wit, he invites the viewer to ponder the bright side of life while speaking to the humanity in all of us. To find and express humor in life and art is Bertman’s forte, a Renaissance man. More here. Thank you to filmmaker Olivia Huang for producing the video. |
